Davis had his final orchestra concert of middle school on Tuesday night this week. I wasn't able to be there but Wesley and Daryl were and Daryl sent me these great pictures and videos. Davis doesn't really want to play bass next year so it might be his final orchestra concert ever. He did a great job.

Road Trippin'
Monday I road tripped solo to Charlotte NC for twelve days as a reserve delegate to our UMC General Conference gathering. I'll be here until May 4th.
I'm staying just outside the beltway in an Airbnb with a couple other clergywomen from Florida. Its a beautiful historic neighborhood (Wesley Heights).
And then I stretched my legs by taking a nice long walk around the neighborhood. You can see the skyline and the Panthers stadium not all that far away.

Random SRQLife
Golden hour from our back porch. My favorite time of day.
Bella reluctantly sat next to me at the pool's edge. She really dislikes the water, but loves the petting.
Saturday's labyrinth walk and my examen practice - Pine Shores Presbyterian Church.
Somehow the cat was stranding the gap between the couch and the ottoman.

Back in the Saddle
Daryl got home from work one night this week and hopped on his bike - a little over 10 miles all around the town!

Year 3 -
Last Sunday, Daryl and Sarah were announced to be returning to Grace UMC Venice for year three.
And I've been announced as the South West DS and the Director of Clergy Excellence for the conference starting July 1. Time is flying!
I spent Announcement Sunday visiting a church in Palmetto with our district lay leader.
There was time for a labyrinth.
And lunch with several of the clergywomen in our district.
One of the pastors made these eggs as gifts for everyone. So fancy!
And time for visioning with our district leadership.

Around the Neighborhood
We have a lot of palm trees in our neighborhood, but we also have a lot of magnolia trees. It is so fragrant walking the dogs around our loop with these in bloom as well as the jasmine lately. So grateful for the beauty of south west Florida - we missed this living further north.
